In Goa, India, the renovated Manohar International Airport, the second largest airport in the region, began operations

The airport’s roads and runways are designed with robust and sustainable infrastructure that includes an economical solar power plant, eco-friendly building design, energy-efficient LED runway lighting, rainwater harvesting systems and a wastewater treatment plant with advanced recycling capabilities. The airport officially began operations with the arrival of its first passenger flight from Hyderabad.

The main innovation in the construction of Manohar Airport is the use of StabilRoad© technology, which is an innovative and environmentally friendly road construction solution. StabilRoad© technology increases durability and reduces environmental impact. By incorporating StabilRoad© technology, Manohar Airport has achieved a more resilient and sustainable ground infrastructure that meets global standards of environmentally conscious development.

StabilRoad® technology reached the Formula E World Championship circuit

StabilRoad® technology reached the Formula E World Championship circuit

Hyderabad Street Circuit, a temporary venue built to host the Formula E World Championship, is located on the NTR Park Roads on the edge of the Hussain Sagar Lake. The competition is supported by the Telangana local government and the NTR Marg road was stabilized using StabilRoad® technology in 2018. Telangana and Hyderabad authorities and race operators have selected the highest quality road for the Formula E Race to ensure smooth and safe organization of the race.

The application of StabilRoad® technology increased the durability and quality of the road, enabling the circuit to withstand the intense conditions of Formula E races. The benefits of the StabilRoad® method are manifold. In addition to allowing the full reuse of existing material, it is an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution that extends the life of roads and reduces maintenance costs.

The use of StabilRoad® technology at the Hyderabad circuit is an example of the company’s commitment to providing the highest standards to its partners. We are proud to be able to support our partners in this way and contribute to the creation of high-quality roads. Our commitment to quality and sustainability drives us forward, ensuring that both local communities and international events benefit from our innovative solutions. StabilRoad® technology continues to improve road quality and increase durability, which is especially important in demanding environments such as Formula E World Championship circuits.

Stabilization of the Kolga-Jaani gravel test road section

Stabilization of the Kolga-Jaani gravel test road section

In July 2015, an important project was carried out in Kolga-Jaani, during which a test road section with a gravel surface was stabilized. The aim of the project was to improve the quality and durability of the road section, making it dust-free and stable and strong enough to withstand the traffic load of the area. Before the start of the project, the Kolga-Jaani road section was covered with gravel, which, as a dusty and unstable surface, did not meet the needs of local traffic.

The project used StabilRoad® technology, by which the existing pavement material (gravel, sand, clay) was mixed with cement and StabilRoad® additive to achieve the required stability. The thickness of the stabilized layer was 30 cm, which ensures sufficient stability and strength of the road. The first half of the section was immediately coated with a granite crushed-bitumen coating to test the durability and performance of the coating immediately after stabilization. The other half of the section was left uncovered for the winter to observe how the stabilized layer would withstand winter weather conditions. In autumn, the theme land was organized and ditches were dug to ensure effective drainage of rainwater. The following summer, the other half of the section was also covered with a granite crushed-bitumen coating.

Stabilization of the Kolga-Jaani gravel test road section was an important step in improving quality and durability. Thanks to the professional application of the Estonian Transport Board and StabilRoad® technology, the stabilized road section is now much more durable and user-friendly. This project shows how innovative and environmentally friendly solutions can significantly improve the quality and durability of infrastructure.

Construction of a technical highway in the Krasnodar region for heavy cargo

Construction of a technical highway in the Krasnodar region for heavy cargo

In July 2015, an ambitious road project was started in Krasnodar Krai, the purpose of which was to build a technical road for extremely heavy goods for the construction of the Kerch bridge. This project was an important step in the development of the region’s infrastructure, providing the necessary infrastructure for the transportation of large and heavy construction materials.

During the project, a road about 40 kilometers long and 12 meters wide was widened. In order for the road to be able to withstand the movement of heavy loads, the existing road surface material (fine clay sand) was stabilized with cement and StabilRoad® additive. The thickness of the stabilized layer was 40 cm, which ensured sufficient stability and strength of the road. This was especially important considering the purpose of the road for transporting extremely heavy goods during the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

The construction of the technical road in the Krasnodar region was an important step in the development of the region’s infrastructure, providing a strong and durable road for the transportation of goods necessary for the construction of the Kerch bridge. The successful completion of the project proved the efficiency and durability of StabilRoad® technology for large and complex construction projects. Thanks to the successful implementation of the StabilRoad® method, the road is now much more durable and user-friendly, showing how environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions can significantly improve the quality and durability of infrastructure.
